MTN is a joke!!

I took out a simple 2 year data contract in November 2022 which was a Black Friday special. It was R59 for 5GB. I then get a call from MTN to say that from the 1st of April my contract will no longer be available and that I have no choice to change it as there terms and conditions allow them to do this. To remain on the same or similar package, the operator wanted me to agree to switch to a new plan that was R135. This is unacceptable as it’s more than double the price of what I agreed to a few months ago for a new contract that was only created at the same time. I think it may be time for me to leave MTN based on their behaviour because it’s disgusting that a business would lure their customers into taking out a contract with a special and then a few months down the line change it *********ly to get more money. I no longer trust MTN after this experience and will not be interested in a contract of R1 for 1000GB a month because they can at anytime decide that they will change it to R1000 for 1GB if they wanted.
