In 2017 I upgraded to a 24-month contract on an iPhone 7 with MTN. The store sold me an iPhone4Life policy which they explained that I could return the iPhone 7 after 12 months and upgrade to the next model and just pay in the difference in the handset premium and the contract will expire after the original 24 month period.
The contract was suppose to finish in February 2019. When my handset charges did not stop after the 24 months I started calling without any success and then reverted to emailing Customer Services and Retentions Department as the one passes me back to the other. I've requested several times for them to email me a copy of this iPhone 4 Life Cover I purchased in 2017 but nobody can do that which I find very strange.
It's now been more than 4 months of emails begging them to send me a copy of the policy and to resolve the issue but I get no response.
At this stage by February 2020 I would have paid 3 years for one handset just because nobody at MTN has enough knowledge about the policy they sold me in 2017 that was discontinued by them in 2018.
I was probably the last customer MTN upgraded under the iPhone4 Life cover and now nobody at MTN knows what to do with this query and I must just continue paying as I was told by them that I would be blacklisted if I stopped paying.
