MTN International Calling Subscription rip-off

I'm on pre-paid and registered for the MTN International Calling Subscription at the beginning of the month in order to buy a R30 MTN International Calling Bundle. I needed to make a once off international call.<br> The MTN International Calling Subscription costs R5/month. <br> <br> Having made my call, I no longer need the subscription, but I couldn't find a way to cancel the subscription, so contacted MTN on facebook, to find out how that can be done. <br> Yes I know R5 isn't much, but I'm not prepared to pay for ANYTHING I don't want.<br> Their reply:<br> \Unfortunately there is no way we can cancel the subscription cause you are on prepaid.<br> Regards<br> Queen<br> MTN Social Media Team"<br> <br> So that means I will now have to pay a monthly subscription for something I no longer require? Madness!<br> <br> If I don't hear something positive in this regard from MTN"

Hello hagenb,

Thank you for your post

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

On 2015-12-07 you loaded the International Calling Subscription as a once off bundle, you can only cancel recurring bundles via *141*5#ok. The service that you have loaded will expire on 2016-01-07.

We sincerely hope that this is in order and hope that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo
