MTN Insurance *****s Your Money!!!

MTN Insurnace are *******!!! Do not insure your devices with them!!!

MTN Insurance debited 3 x monthly premium off my account irrespective that I had never defaulted a payment with them.

I called them on the 3rd of March 2020 to query this transaction off my account. I was told that I was not the first customer to complain about this as they had experienced technical difficulties and it was an error. I was further advised that the over debited amount would be refunded back into my account within 5-7 working days. I waited the stipulated 7 working days and my money had still not been refunded.

I then called again on the 12th March to find out what was happening with my refund. I spoke to representative named Hazel who then told me that I had been given the incorrect information as they would require additional information. I now had to supply documents to prove that they over debited me because they can't see it on their system???? I would also need to provide my banking details of which account it would need to be refunded to. I was further assured that as soon as I sent the requested documentation, it would be attended to immediately and processed for a refund.

Within minutes of that call, I emailed my bank statements where I clearly indicated the date the debit that was taken off my account. I also provided a Bank account confirmation letter.

It is the 14th March and again, nothing has been refunded to my account. I then called again and was now told that I have contacted the incorrect department, I should contact MTN themselves. DOES ANYONE IN MTN INSURANCE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THERE???!!!

I asked to speak to a manager and was asked to hold while the representative put me through. I have been on hold for 40 minutes and no one is picking up their phones!!! They then dropped the call.

As most South Africans, I have a strict budget that I need to stick to monthly and when thieving insurance companies such as MTN Insurance deduct more than the contracted amount and do not feel a F**k for their actions or make NO attempt to correct it, and ultimately leave me, the consumer in financial distress.

I am horried by the lack of care and highly angered by this!

I want my money refunded immediately!
