MTN Insurance Claims - ***

I have currently submitted a claim with MTN Insurance on the 09 January 2017 for a ****** cellphone. The email reply I received from then is that we will get feedback within 5 working days due to high volumes. The 5 days passed and we followed up again and received the following email again:

From: Chanel Du Plessis **********
Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2017 8:10 AM
To: Beverley Alexander
Subject: Automatic reply: BP Alexander - ********** 820

Dear Valued Customer

This email serves to confirm that your query/claim has been received and will be attended to as soon as possible.

Please be advised that with effect from the 05 December 2016 a new administrator has taken over the MTN Device Insurance book. There are a large number of pending claims which were handed over and we are working through them as quickly as possible.

We apologise for any delays experienced should your claim have been submitted prior to the handover date. Our current turnaround time due to the backlog is 3-5 working days, so please bear with us for this time so we can attend to your claim/query.

Our team is on a drive to improve upon this turnaround time as well as service levels offered to every client.

We thank you for your continued patience,

Kind Regards,

The Pinnacle Marketing Team

I made contact with MTN insurance again today and spoken to Megan who confrimed that I need to speak to Lee, Musa or Jabo. I phoned the number ********** 084 and held for 20 mins with the lady saying I am number 1 in the que.

I was also just confrimed by Megan today that an excess of R350.00 has to be paid and an sms was send to ********** 820 which are the ****** cellphone and how can you make contact on a number where the client does not even have a phone.

I have forwarded another email to MTN Insurnace and to date we did not receive any feedback from them.

From: Beverley Alexander
Sent: Friday, January 27, 2017 9:07 AM
To: 'Kaylin Leonard' ********** Jabu Buthelezi ********** ********** Musa Ntshapheka ********** /> Cc: Megan Hope ********** /> Subject: RE: MTNLF ********** - BP Alexander - ********** 820 - URGENT FEEDBACK - PATHATIC SERVICE

Good Day,

We refer to the email below,

To date we have not received any response from your office.

Please confirm what is your turn around time and why a client needs to wait so long to have a cellphone claim of R3000.00 shorted out.

The is pathetic service and I have not received such service in my life.

Once my claim is finalised can please cancel the policy with immediate effect.

Regards

Beverley Alexander

Is this the type of service you give a client when it comes to a cellphone claim of R3000.00 and why must you wait almost a month for your claim to be sorted and why do you never get any feedback and have to follow up yourself and still hold for ever.

This is BAD SERVICE and after this claim I am cancelling my policy because in todays life you cant go with out an cellphone.
