MTN Insurance call centre rings and rings and rings

My cell was ****** in October and after reporting it at the police station to get a case number, and submitting a claim to MTN Insurance, I have recieved no news from MTN other than getting a claim reference number ( ********** 96).

When I tried calling them, they kept me on hold for almost an hour WITHOUT transferring me to a consultant.

When I went to the Cresta branch all they could do was try to get someone to answer at the call centre...another WASTED 1 hour call with NO HELP from MTN.

When I email them, I get NO REPLY.

I am beginning to wonder if MTN INSURANCE isn't just a **** since they are still debitting my account on a monthly basis for the cover of the phone that I reported ******.

I just wish they would pay out my claim so I can get a new phone!

Dear Mike
Yes, frustrating indeed, especially since to date my claim has not been paid out. Even after the original post.
Please try engaging with the relevant department again for a speedier resolution, and in addition to the payout of the claim, a refund of the monthly debits for insurance you have been making while "attending" to the claim process may be the the fair thing to do.
Sincerely.
