MTN insurance

My iPhone 7 went in for a damaged screen in March, and I received it backb just under three weeks ago. It was working perfectly fine till this past Saturday.

It seemed like it was a software issue. I was unable to resolve it at home. I took it to the iStore at The Glen where they also attempted to update and/or restore my iPhone 7, they were also unsuccessful.

The guy that assisted me then informed me that my phone has hardware damage and also mentioned that my screen was not an original iPhone screen and that it was ****, thus resulting in the loss of my warranty with Apple which he said I would still have had over 240+ days left of if it wasn't for the **** screen.

He also said he couldn't understand why my insurance didn't just replace the device with a new one because the phone was still on warranty.

I also couldn't understand because not only was my phone now damaged, the quality of the repair was clearly misleading, and I have now lost my warranty with Apple (I purchased my phone in December).

I did try to contact MTN services on Twitter yesterday when I got back from the iStore but no response. So I called MTN insurance this afternoon and informed them what happened.

They didn't seem shocked or bothered when I informed them about the **** screen, hardware damage or the loss of warranty. The consultant promised to call me back after contacting the repair centre, which she did, but only to inform me that my phone will be picked up and taken back to the repair centre this week and they will inform me how they going to proceed thereafter.

I have a feeling they're going to try repair the device and give it back to me (something I wouldn't put past them due to their integrity),which i cannot accept because it is now worthless to me and Apple and I have no interest in taking it back

Anyway long story short, I really look forward to finding out how they plan on dealing with the issue, because it doesn't seem like they care much about customer service or the quality of their services.

So yeah that's pretty much how MTN insurance **** and misrepresented the quality of their service and integrity.
