MTN INCREASE FEES DUE TO INFLATIONARY PRESSURES!!!!
MTN informed consumers that their contract fees will increase on 1 May with 4% due to inflationary pressures. How on earth can you go into a contract and then can one party just change terms? I wish we can inform MTN that we as consumers are going to pay 4% less as from 1 May due to inflationary pressures. This action of MTN is unacceptable.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
Please note we haven’t increased our subscription prices over the past few years despite the challenging economic environment and the substantial investment that have been made to the network.
We are dedicated to offering our customer’s best quality network and service, but to continue to deliver on this, a review of subscription pricing had to be done.
According to our Subscriber agreement, Mtn may amend charges from time to time and notify customers in advance. Kindly see below extract Clause 12 :Charges
You voluntarily confirm that the package option or price-plan has been explained to you and that you understand and voluntarily agree to it. You voluntarily agree to accept the charges included with each package option or price-plan (either with or without a mobile device). You must pay all the applicable charges due to us at the rates detailed on our website, your package option or price-plan terms. After any promotion ends charges will revert to the standard charges. By notifying you in advance, we may amend charges from time to time and if you do not accept them, you may end the contract by notifying us, subject to clause 15 (Termination payments). Thank you for your patronage and continued support.
