MTN incorrectly handed my account over

MTN has been very *********** lately. they for some reason stopped debiting my account without informing me. When i go to their centurion branch to inquire further, they refer me to their call centre, who are never able to assist. I have since requested to pay off my account and cancel them immediately as my contract will be due in a month and STILL no one has come back to me to assist.

Hello makhum01,

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.

We've perused your account and see that your debit order was deactivated due to the returned debit orders for insufficients funds in your account that took place at the end of February & March 2015.

As a security measure our system automatically deactivates the debit order and changes your payment method to cash to avoid bank charges for yourself and us (MTN). We see that you've made 2 successful cash payments and you will be able to activate your debit order once again as soon as you've made a payment for your invoice dated the 20th of October 2015 for the amount of R539.50.

Your contract expires on the 14th of January 2015 and you will be able to migrate the number over to prepaid on the 15th of January 2015 without any penalties.

Regards
Tim
