MTN are migrating numbers to their new ILULA system and my number was migrated on the 19th February 2021 without any notification/warning. This new system barred my services on my sim card and further changed my plan to a Home Wi-Fi Price Plan which is a fixed LTE line and it also caused an IMEI mismatch. My Plan is a MTN MyChoice 400GB plan which is a sim only deal. This meant that I could not access my internet data, make calls or send smses. Today's the 1st of March and I'm still disconnected AFTER they have debited my account on time. I've never missed an MTN payment but their system just cut my services. When calling the their 135 call centre, the customer care department is beyond frustrating as they keep pushing their ill collected fact into you, telling you that your device is the issue, repeatedly asking if you removed your sim card after CLEARLY telling them that you only have one device and one sim card slot. They keep resetting the network and telling you that the suspension and barring has been removed but after restarting the device for the recommended 5-10 minutes the issue still persists. You ask to speak to their team leader or supervisor but they keep avoiding to put you through instead they transfer you to their technical department who are also frustrating because they cannot access parts of the system to remove barring or correct IMEI mismatches. Their turn around time is 3-5 working days and even after this period they cannot resolve your issue and are so defeated that they direct you to Head Office. I spoke to a supervisor who will apparently escalate the issue to her manager but I've lost all my confidence in their ability and need assistance to escalate this matter as it is costing me more money as I need to buy data bundles when in fact I've got over a terabyte of data available that I cannot access. Please assist me in getting this resolved as this is becoming rather urgent
