MTN ******* billing - Breaching The NCA

I had a cellphone contract with Altech Cellular which had a monthly billing limit of R0. The maximum that I would pay is R500. When Altech's contracts were transferred to MTN I was notified that no disruptions would take place.
I subsequently recieved an sms saying that my limit was changed to R 881. This was not done through my request, but I did not object. My issue is that MTN has been billing over these limits. Yesterday my account was locked for the second time, because the billing went over the limit.

My question is, why is MTN billing me over and above R881, in fact why are they billing me over R500.
This billing is actually ******* there have been serious contraventions to the national credit act. I want to see proof of each time I requested to change my limit (because this never happened), and I want to understand why nothing is being done to prevent overbilling from taking place.

Hello Rowannandlall,

Thank you for your post. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this and assure you that it is not our intention to displease you.

Kindly note that the matter has been escalated to the Credit Management department for assistance with your credit limit. The other charges are for Packet switch Data , which is internet usage, once you finish your data bundles you're charged out bundle rate.

We sincerely hope that the above is in order and that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards
