MTN Ignoring My Cancellation Request and forcing contract to continue

On 15 August 2025, I submitted a cancellation request for my contract on ***. MTN acknowledged my request and even provided me with a reference number: cef096c8-7527-4c90-a711-a2e290ed898f.

Despite giving the required 20 working days’ notice, MTN still allowed the contract to continue past the cancellation date. On 12 September 2025, I noticed that 1GB of data and minutes were credited to my account, which clearly shows the cancellation was not processed.

This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I followed the correct process, yet MTN failed to honour it. I will not be held liable for charges incurred due to their negligence.

MTN, this is not the level of service expected from a company of your size. Please do the right thing and fix this without delay.
