MTN HVCR Broke my phone

I recently took my iphone 6s to MTN as it had a problem charging.I was informed that i should send the phone to MTN HVRC as it was still under warranty, they rejected the warranty claim and stated that the was water damage. I disputed this and went to MTN HVCR and I was informed they can't open the phone infront of me.I asked for photos of which they didn't send to me before,I discovered that the black lcd cable had been damaged.

Is it possible that they broke my phone and later used the "water damage" as an excuse?

I have pictures showing that my phone has infact been damaged, what actions can I take?

I have an email that I received from MTN HVCR this past sa****ay,the email also states that they re-opened my phone as it was not properly closed by them.

Good Day Mpho ncokazi,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
We appreciate that you have made us aware of the issues that you were faced with regarding the faulty handset. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced.
MTN SP After Sales is accredited to assess and perform cellular repairs under strict manufacturer guidelines and as such, specific criteria is app**** when assessing devices to validate warranty. This is done in accordance with procedures laid down by each manufacturer.
Please note that the handset does not necessarily have to be splashed, soaked or immersed in liquid to be deemed liquid damaged. Excessive humidity and slight moisture can just be as damaging to the circuit tracks on the board. When a device has liquid spotted, at times with a use of a microscope: The micro tracks, plug in points and circuitry that are affected by liquid, are already weakened by the corrosive activity, leading to short circuits and applications ultimately failing to function and the device will show signs of progressive deterioration.
Traces of liquids being detected on handsets therefore voids Warranty and renders handset BER (Beyond Economical Repairs) due to the complexities and costs to repair. We regret to advise that should the handset be found to be liquid damaged, it cannot be fixed under warrantee. However you are still welcome to request second opinion by having the handset rebooked.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery.
Kind Regards,
Zukiswa

Good day Zukiswa,
Thanks so much for your response.I understand your reasons with regards to "Excessive humidity and slight moisture" and I'm aware that there's nothing I can do to prove that, however by stating that the black lcd has been damaged I mean it has snapped or is torn apart.I don't mind fixing the "liquid damage",however Im not liable for breaking any cables inside the phone.Your technicians didn't send me pictures as they were aware of this,I finally got the pictures from your MTN HVCR and they clearly showing that the cable is broken.
Are you also blaming that on "Excessive humidity and slight moisture"?
Are you suggesting that I have to bear the costs caused by your technicians negligence?
Regards,
Mpho Ncokazi
