MTN how can we rip you off
<p>I bought my Phone from MTN Mall of Africa, it is a Huawei P8 Lite.</p> <p>I only have the device within a 5 month window , and now the device battery swollen.</p> <p>MTN Mall of Africa advised me to take my phone to a repair centre in Allandale.</p> <p>So i take my phone to the repair centre this morning and i get told that my device will be booked in and the consultant advises me that i should get a new phone. i absolutely agreee because its a brand new phone which is within warranty. Mtn now advises that they will change the motherboard in my phone. i find this to be unacceptable as i now have a redundant device.The device is faulty and it will never be the same and i am quiet sure i will have endless problems with it. my device is very clean and neat and there are no damages to it. MTN is rippping people of by not assisting them in the correct manner. i have received extremely bad service from the call centre to the walk in store at Allandale. This is so pathetic and what ever happened to good service.im am totally disgusted MTN. i have been a loyal MTN supporter until now and i will support MTN after this incident. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>So yesterday the call Centre told me the mother board will be replaced in my device.</p> <p>Today i called in and now they tell me i have to wait for a refurbished unit.</p> <p>Really this is nonsense and a load of bull****. Refurbishment is the distribution of products usually electronics and electricals that have been previously returned to a manufacturer or vendor for various reasons. Refurbished products are normally tested for functionality and defects before they are sold. It is repaired from manufacturer and resold. what utter nonsense. Once again im disgusted.</p>

All our handsets go through a full Quality Assurance tests before being issued out to clients. For as long as your handset complies with all warranty guidelines, our HVRC team will be happy to assist with all the repair issues you might be having or replace it depending on the nature of repair/ fault.
A Refurbished handset is one that has a reworked mainboard and new cosmetics. There is no difference between new and refurbished only that on refurbished we have to put a sticker stating refurbished due to CPA.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
