MTN HORRIFIC SERVICE, STAFF MEMBER THREATENS TO ASSAULT CUSTOMER!
Last week I called the MTN Clearwater store to query my phone bill. That after several attempts at calling the call center without actually getting the opportunity to talk to a human being. On Tuesday,8th December I called the MTN Clearwater store early in the morning, a lady called Bianca answered the phone, took all the info pertaining to my query and said she would call back. Around midday of the same day she had still not returned my call so I called again. This time a man answered the phone (didn't get his name) and advised that he would get this Bianca person to return my call. This still didn't happen. On Saturday, 12th December I went into this store. I was met by 3 staff members sitting very relaxed and busy on their phones. I stood there and mentioned my issue with my phone bill. None of them looked at me, the one person then looked at me and rolled her eyes to which I responded - "is this how you treat customers, I understand there is load shedding but at least look interested in assisting a client? The one lady, Bianca (same lady who didn't return the call from earlier in the week) then said she doesn't have time for rude people. Naturally I responded. She then started swearing at me, screamed at me, and actually threatened to assault me when I leave the store. I told her to shut up and call the store manager. She then told me she would f*** me up. Nobody working in the store bothered to interject. Eventually a man called Xolani came out and asked what the problem is. He said that he could not assist as the systems were down due to load shedding which I find strange as other stores were operating perfectly fine. He then took my details and said he would contact me.
I want my billing query resolved and disciplinary action taken against Bianca. Never ever should a staff member swear, scream and threaten a client - irrespective of the circumstances! She must actually get fired. I will take this complaint all the way to Ralph Mupita - if he doesn't take steps I will take this matter to the Consumer Ombudsman. Further to that I am considering open a case of threat and assault. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF HORRIFIC! How are staff vetted and appointed. As a client of over 10 years I can safely say that I will be cancelling my last contract with MTN.
