MTN Help Desk doesn't
<p>I emailed the MTN help desk a simple question: "I am considering changing to pay as you go when my contract comes up for renewal in December. If I do that, can I keep my existing number?"</p> <p>I sent that last Wednesday, 28th September. MTN "rep****" with the usual form notice and a reference number. By yesterday, 4th October, my question remained unanswered. </p> <p>I sent a reminder and told them that if I did not hear from them by close of business, my next email would be to Hellopeter. There was no response, so here is the email to you.</p> <p>The staff have absolutely no idea of what customer service means and obviously could not care less. I have had many problems with MTN since they took over my account from the previous sub-contractor, Autopage. That is why I want to go the prepaid route instead.</p> <p>Staff who can't be bothered, or are too poorly informed to answer simple questions, do not belong on a help desk. There are times when I wish I could get hold of the Managing Director's direct email address in order to tell him or her about the severe staff problems at the company.</p>
Thank you for your post.
We apologize for any inconvenience incurred.
Kindly be advised that the contract expire date is due 2016-12-15.
Note that prepaid migration can be done a day after the contract expires. On the 16-12-2016 you may contact the call center to request for the number to be converted to prepaid and to keep the number as per paud function.

Best regards,
Thank you Alice. I will keep this until then.
Why did I have to go public before this was answered? It is such a simple question that it should have been handled the same day.
