MTN have billed me R9000 for data which cannot be justified!

On 1 June, MTN deducted R2800 from my bank account. For my total package with MTN, the bill NEVER exceeds around R1000 for my phone, data and tablet. I have been with MTN since the 1990s. They then sent me a statement and invoice via SMS that reflects that I have incurred an amount of approximately R9000 in data charges in only one month! Since 1 June 2017, I have called the call centre a number of times and requested an itemised bill. I was told that it would take between 48 - 72 hours for this to be sent to me via email. Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing was received. I went to the MTN shop in Balfour Park shopping centre last week and dealt with a gentleman by the name of Abraham, who adivsed that he had again requested the itemised bill and URL report and that should be made available by Tuesday 13 June and that he would call me. I received no phone call. Today, 15 June, I went to the MTN shop in Balfour Park to find out what was going on only to find that the shop was completely closed up with a lock and chain on the door and there was not a soul inside the shop! I asked a few shop owners in the Centre if they knew what had happened to the MTN shop and why it was closed and no one could tell me anything. I have just come home and once again, called the MTN call centre to try and get help to resolve this problem. Again, I was advised that it would take another few days to receive any reports from their billing department. I was not happy with this response and asked to speak to someone in higher authority as I have been struggling to get any information now since 1 June and it has been two weeks that no one has been able to help me. I spoke to a lady by the name of Rashani Govender who said that she would escalate the problem. I asked if they would be able to dall me back this afternoon with some kind of response and Rashani advised that someone would call me. Now, the thing is, what recourse do I have? MTN took all the money that I had in my bank account which had been assigned to other bills and I couldn't pay my Standard Bank credit card nor any other bills that the money was assigned to cater for and I am incurring interest on these accounts and a bad credit name daily as a result. If MTN try to deduct the further amount of approximately R8000 from my bank account on 1 July I will not have sufficient funds to cover this amount. I will have no choice but to ask the bank to cancel this debit order in order for me to stay alive and put food on the table. While writing this, Rashani called me and advsied that they have now put me on to cash payment and have cancelled my debit order and that they would get back to me Monday or Tuesday next week with a report on what has happened in order for so much data to have been used on my account. I asked how this data could have been incurred and Rashani advised that it could be due to updates in the background on my computer. I haven't seen any updates happening. At this point, I am completely devastated and shell shocked. As a writer and marketing entrepreneur, my ability to earn an income depends on having a phone and Internet connection. If MTN decides to cut me off as I cannot pay the outstanding bill, I may as well slit my wrists now and get it over with as I will not be able to continue like this as I will soon not be able to afford my home or electricity and water, and lose my business. What now?
