MTN has the worst customer service ever!!!

I have a data sim contract with MTN, 2 weeks back my sim card stopped working while i was busy using it. I went to report this at mtn store and i was told i need to pay R115 for sim swap. Why should i pay for sim swap if i didn't loose the sim card? It lost network signal and stopped working ??????
