MTN has no customer care
I bought a phone at Edgars on 31 Dec 2020. When buying the phone I got a promotional simcard MTN Bundle Bonanza starter pack. The promotion states that you get 250 free sms, 250 anytime data, 250 MTN - MTN mins, 1GB ayoba data, 250 social pack with every recharge of R30 or more. I loaded R30 on the 31st of December 2020 and I received the promotion but since then I've loaded over R100 airtime, I even loaded R30 again just now and it still reflects on my balance but I still haven't received the promotion. I called the MTN call center yesterday and spoke to 3 consultants and not one was able to assist me. The 1st consultants said she would log a technical ticket & the problem would be sorted in 24hrs but nothing happened. The second consultant didn't even understand my problem & the 3rd was just as unhelpful as the 1st consultants. I called in again to today. So far I've spoken to 4 consultants being told to hold due to system arrears than I got transferred to another agent. I asked for a supervisor or team leader, the agent advised that there was no supervisor on shift. When she finally got to a team leader, she advised the team leader Sandile Hlatwayo said he was busy. This is the poorest service I bhave received in my life. The terms & conditions clearly state " with every R30 or more cumulative value with unlock the free integrated bundle" . MTN should work on it's customer service & train their consultants. My ref is :REQ***
