MTN happily takes money and doesnt provide the service but refuses to refund your money

My experiance with MTN in the last week must be one of these most frustrating things i have ever had to deal with. I bought a data bundle on www.mtn.co.za for R149 on the 31st of August at 12:12 pm. The bundle didnt load but i got a notification from my bank saying that the money was taken off of my account. So i phoned the MTN helpline and asked them what was happening. They informed that it should activate in the 2 hours or so. So i waited 3 hours and still nothing came through. So i phoned back and was told to wait until the end of the day. So i waited until the next day and still nothing came of it. I phoned in again and was told that i had to wait 24 hours after the purchase. So i waited until 1:30 pm and nothing came through. I phoned in again and was told to restart my phone and the data would be loaded. I did so and still had no data. I phoned in again and was met with an extremely rude man who basically told me to wait another 24 hours, of course i refused and requested a refund and asked to speak to the manager. After being put on hold for 10 minutes the line magically cut off. So about an hour or two passes and i phone in again and i finally get to talk to a manager. She informs me that its actually an error on my banks side and she had told me that they had contacted Nedbank and explained the issue and assured me the money would be refunded. I get home phone my bank and they told me that there was absoultely no contact from MTN at all. I was informed to wait one more day to see if they money would show up on my transactions list or if it was reverted to my account. The next day i wake to see the money was happily taken by MTN. I phone and try and request a refund after dealing with many rude call centre agents i finally got to talk to a manager. She provided me with an email which i had to send all my proof of my payment as well as the data bundle i pruchased with the order number i was given. I did and she never responded. The next day i called in and asked for the manager by name and i was told there was no such person. I then gave the call centre agent my order number and asked what came up and she told me she wouldnt help me. I asked for a manager and she refused to transfer me. By this time I had been waiting for more then a day for the manager and the customer care email to respond. I eventually contacted my bank and they suggested i log a ***** dispute against MTN which i did so. I emailed both the manager and the customer care service to inform them that i had logged a ***** dispute against MTN. The manager immediately respondes with a reference number for my case and said that everything would be sent in for review. The customer care however said it was my banks fault and had nothing to do with them. I then posted about the situation on MTNs page on facebook and got a replay. They asked for my cell number. I provided it to them aswell as the screenshots of the money coming out of my bank account and going to MTN as well as the screenshot of the emails where i had requested for the money to be refunded to my bank account. Instead the person that was using the facebook account at the time refunded me with R149 airtime which i never had once requested. They then tell me that they only refund airtime. Meaning i pay R149 for a data bundle fight for almost 5 days to get a refund for them to try and give me airtime that I would have to be spent with MTN regardless. Due to my work requiring me being on the road everyday as an essential service i had made plans for data the on the 1st of september( 1 day after my purchase) So now ive had to dish out R149 that they are refusing to put back into my bank account and ive had to pay more money for more data while i had to fight with them for a refund During these tough times MTN seem very happy to take peoples money and basically tell them that they have nothing to do with it and shift the blame. Most disgusting behaviour If you are thinking about going with MTN use this as your warning.
