MTN HACKED, CLIENT MUST PAY, HOW???

1 February 2024 at 14h52, i receive a "security warning" SMS from MTN App. At the same time I receive a call from someone purporting to be from MTN ***** department wanting the OTP i just received for them to block suspicious activity on my account which i provide. Fortunately i was driving to the mall and proceeded to the MTN shop at mall@reds. Arrive at the MTN shop to report the matter @ 15h00. The lady who was uninterested in my case and was quite relaxed about it informs me that MTN is busy investigating hackers that can hack THEIR systems (same App that sends OTPs) and i shouldnt have given my OTP (which is generated by MTN). She confirms that the OTP is indeed from MTN and allows hackers to access MTN user accounts. She informs me that their hackers have billed (read de*****ed R737 from my account) and i am liable because the only way MTN can stop people from HACKING THEM is if I don't give the hackers the OTP that comes from MTN. I think MTN is shifting their liability for their weak system security to me.
