MTN gives my detail out to third-parties without my permission
I recently upgraded a second number on MTN, I don't give this number out to anyone. Got the following sms this morning: "[MyName]. Old Mutual offers a funeral plan with a grocery & education benefit from only R42/mth .Reply YES for A free quote (Free reply)STOP =opt out.FSP.T&C" Does MTN give my information out to third parties like Old Mutual without my consent? How did Old Mutual get my name and matched this to this second phone number of mine. Only MTN has this information. This is unacceptable!

Do you know how this company that sells the Old Mutual funeral plan got my name and phone number? I am 100% sure only MTN has my name matched to this phone numer. Or does MTN need to register this number with some sort of Credit Berau?
