MTN frozen into inaction and intransigence by its systems and procedures

So, I'm busy using MTN data on my old phone that I use as a hot spot. All good and well. Then my daughter comes home from Varsity and suddenly data consumption increases (to be expected, I agree). After 10 days the MTN data on my old phone runs out. I swap to Vodacom data (because I also use them to split the risk of MTN going down). One week later the Vodacom data runs out. So I mutter and moan, but decide to load MTN data on my personal cell and we all start using that. However, for some reason the WiFi printer will only allow me to connect via my cell's hotspot - my wife and daughter can't, so I reluctantly buy 3GB of data on MTN for use with my old phone on its hotspot - again.

My wife and daughter, who have also been using my personal phone's data, switch back to the old phone's data and zap, it consumes 3 GB in about 2 hours. Now, the thing is IMMEDIATELY before switching modems, they were using MTN data on my phone and it didn't consume 3GB in 2 hours, but the minute they switched to the old phone's data it started consuming the data. I check all or laptops and the phone to see if programs had updated, none had.

So then I contacted MTN's Useless Desk, only to be told they couldn't connect me to some other Useless desk because the whole department was having a Union meeting. I must wait, and call back. I could write a book on how they dealt with me, but let's just write the book's title: MTN blocks clients with barriers upon barriers. Since then, it's been two weeks now, I just keep getting told MTN can only assist once the billing period has expired.

Let me tell you categorically, MTN doesn't care a hoot for its clients. It's systems and procedures are totally MTN_focussed and their Useless Desk personnel are, well constrained and strangled by the company's policies, procedures and bureaucracy. They are frozen into inaction by their system. As of now, I'm still waiting, and the billing cycle ended 4 days ago.

Yes, I did receive your URL report on 16 July, but it took you 11 days to get it to me. Had the problem happened the day after the start of my new billing cycle, I would have to wait a whole month before MTN closes the cycle and gives me the report. THAT is what the dispute is about, and the fact that your whole Technical Help Desk (or is that the Technical Useless Desk?) was closed on 5 July due to a Union meeting. Like I said, and your MTN consultants all just keep ignoring this, MTN puts MTN first, your clients come last and your systems are not client friendly if they can't assist with data immediately or within a reasonable period (like 24 hours), but force clients to wait (potentially) a month or more. Now, go and do something about that!
