MTN ***** through Mobile PLUS

Mobile Plus ****med me with lies and ***** into agreeing to a contract. They pretended to be MTN and they told me that there is a 14 day cool off period, that they will send terms via email and that I can pick up a device anytime from MTN. All lies. MTN conveniently now refuse to handle the case though I am receiving SMSs from MTN congratulating me with my new contract. MTN provide me with numbers that do not work to cancel this contract with the external dealer, while THEY gave away my contact details, and THEY will be receiving the payment. I am not sure who is the *********, MTN or Mobile plus or supposedly Igition that did the contract. I think they are all in on the same deal. DO NOT TAKE ANY CALLS FROM MOBILE AGENTS - THIS IS *****

I took a call from a call center representative asking if I would be interested in an upgrade. Believing it was through MTN, however this was all false, I agreed. Today I see my phone bombarded with congratulations on your new order which is a downgrade to what I originally had and not what I was told it was at all. I was made to believe that everything was the same but just the price would be cheaper and that we could cancel within 14 days and that I can any time go and pick my new device (after covid lockdowns have been eased). I have been trying since day one to cancel with no luck so far. These people are first-class ****** and should be arrested!
I have been doing my best to cancel the order through MTN, but so far the only positive response I could get from them is one lady from customer care willing to write an email on my behalf to ask that they call me so that I can cancel the contract. I am desperate to resolve this as I have seen hundreds of ****s reported about MobilePlus involving MTN where it seems MTN just washes their hands and turn their backs on the matter. How can this be? I have been a customer for over 20 years... MTN please help me to cancel this contract!

After speaking to more than 8 MTN consultants via customer care, sending 4 email to MTN customer care an Support at Mobilesplus and several phone calls to numbers that do not work, I have finally today after holding for 45minutes beein able to terminate the unwanted order created on false perceptions by MobilesPlus
Here is how:
Call MTN *** and choose option 2, then speak to someone at upgrades explaining the ***** that had occurred and let them transfer you to retentions (no direct number)
At retentions they will be able to reverse the false order, if you can within the 5-7 day cool off period. Good luck!
It is not wonder that the retention staff is also responsible for "winback".
Thanks to two or three well informed MTN staff members and their personal kindness this has been resolved. How greater MTN takes responsibility for the hundreds of similar complaints I found on Hello Peter regarding false information and ***** through external mobile agents, I really struggle to see evidence of...
