MTN ***** (No escape)

If you have an MTN contract cancel it now!!!

As of the end 2017 to date I have had 2 ***** issues with MTN which has destroyed my credit record. Initially I was notified on an email to add 3 iPhone X's contracts on my name, which was noticed by myself immediately where MTN was contacted immediately in this regard. At first seeming helpful by requesting an Affidavit and ID Copy which again was sent through ASAP. By doing this as they requested i trusted they were on top of the matter but clearly not as in February 2018 I received Invoice charging me for the 3 iPhone X's which was clearly ***** on my account. Rushing to call MTN to find out whats the update on the ***** matter they informed that i was supposed to send a certified copy of my ID not just a copy. So clearly someone wasn't doing their job efficiently and resulted me incurring costs.Blaming this on the "system" just created more frustration. The person who assisted me the 2nd time was very helpful and got my query escalated and even called me to follow up on his progress. I was satisfied with his service and knew then that the ***** was logged but a month later I got billed again for 2 months worth of iPhone X's (as I had reversed the first ********** transaction under MTN's instruction) and this made me question that MTN had even done anything about the request so I called in and I kept getting told that the turn around time is 21 working days. It was a month so that's around the time it should have taken, thus I found their response unacceptable. I then started trying to follow up myself to find out what was the problem was and it turns out the case kept being sent forward and backward with banking department and other departments so I reversed the money once again and a few days later my service was suspended so I could not even call MTN to find out what was going on, due to their incompetency from MTN, I had to make a plan to contact MTN again, so my options were to use my work's office phone(which due to my company policy is unacceptable to use for personal calls) to call MTN and I did so because as i need it my for daily work purposes. MTN was able to assist with that when I explained about the ***** case but this issue only got sorted out another month later when I got billed a third time and was so far in debt that I had to take leave from work as i had no fuel due to the high debit order from the ***** deducted off my account. I called them that day a number of times and kept getting cut off and eventually they told me that I have been credited and the banking department needs to pay me back and this just was not happening so out of desperation I reversed the money again and paid what I actually owed back to MTN, then only the issue was sorted out not to mention that every time I reverse the money I got charged and further my destroyed credit record. So I end up paying for this whole issue because MTN takes so long to pay me back.

From there things went smoothly with MTN until the August statement of account was received. This meaning a second ***** occurrence on my account within the same year where two contracts were cancelled on my account that did not belong to me which again left me with no money in my account due to the second ********** case deduction off of my account. Again incurring costs by the need to reverse the ********** transaction. Thinking going to the MTN store might result in quicker outcome, i was instructed again to get an affidavit and a copy of my ID to the shop to log the ***** case, which same was completed on even day. Which again wasted my time and my fuel due to ***** that occurred. I returned to the store where i was further assisted in logging a ticket and a week later despite notifying MTN at my costs that there is ***** on the account, my services were suspended yet again. This creates issues with my work as I need to have a constant contact with head offices as I work offsite (as I cant call MTN when suspended). which I then had to incur costs by taking unpaid leave to sort the suspension out at the MTN store, the closest one being Atterbury. The lady called MTN and got transferred and we waited so long on hold she used a 2nd phone (showing that MTN does not even have the courtesy to help out their own staff) to lift the suspension and was on the phone for around 10 min before she was done assisting me and ended up stopping that waiting call on the first phone as well. Now today again my services were suspended the day my car does not want to start and I need to call for help and again I could not call due to MTN!!! fortunately I got called by someone else out of pure luck and asked them to assist as I was now stranded offsite. Then further used that persons phone to call MTN to get my suspension lifted again. I can't wait for my contract to end!!!!!!!! so I can CLOSE my account with MTN!!!! I actually should out of all of this be granted this at no cost but I just know MTN is not a user friendly service provider and on the other hand if I got two cases in one year and with a year left on my contract I know that I will most likely still be victimized by ***** through MTN again so I honestly do not know what to do anymore?????
