MTN ***** department is useless

On the 4th of December I got a sms to say my sim swap is being done.
Phoned MTN and told them to cancel immediately as I DID NOT request this.
The call centre agent, cancelled and reversed the sim swap and told me he's going to report it to the ***** department. I then had to cancel all my bank cards and change my online passwords just incase.
On Saturday morning I got another sim swap request - repeated the entire process and this time the call centre agent told me to go instore. Went to Bedford store - they checked it and told me it's one of their staff's password & pin in Jabulani mall, Soweto being used for this request. They told me this particular agent has left MTN beginning of Nov. 15. They told they will report this and block his profile. After 3 hours I got ANOTHER sim request. I phoned the store and told them to suspend my number.
Went to a MTN store on Monday and cancelled my contract and requested a number port. They told me it can't be done because my number is suspended and a ***** investigation. I've tried reaching the ***** dept. of MTN to lift the suspension and port my number. NO LUCK contacting them at all!!!

Hello chidorgan,

Thank you for your post

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

We have noted that the number has been migrated to prepaid on 2015-12-14 and ported out of MTN on 2015-12-17. We have logged an enquiry with the store supervisor to investigate and advise.

We understand that the entire experience must be very frustrating and hope that we can restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo
