Mtn forcing clients to pay cancellation fee for cell phone insurance

I called MTN insurance at 8:20am today (17 April 2025) to cancel my cell phone insurance and the consultant said to me that there will be a cancellation fee that I have to pay at the end of May. I asked him why I should pay a cancellation fee and he said it's in my policy and it's part of the procedures. I then asked if I pay at the end of May will I be covered for the rest of April since I'm paying a cancellation fee of the exact same amount and he said no I am not covered in April as I'm cancelling my insurance and I decided to cancel.

This is unacceptable and I would appreciate assistance from MTN to cancel my policy without having to pay a cancelation fee without any cover. This policy does not make sense.
