MTN fooled me twice......Shame on me :(

I upgraded to Huawei P30 Lite recently and having been caught before I checked repeatedly that the phone I purchased would be dual sim enabled.

The consultant at the MTN Cornubia branch repeatedly assured me that this was a dual SIM device.

I mentioned to him that in my experience that MTN blocked the functionality of the 2nd SIM.

He looked quite confused as to how this would be possible and kept assuring me that I was definitely purchasing a dual SIM device.

Obviously he was mistaken as MTN have once again conned me into purchasing a device where the 2nd SIM is blocked.

I don't actually understand how this is remotely legal......it certainly isn't ethical and to have sales consultants who are not aware of this is disingenuous.

Or alternatively they are aware and have been trained to mislead customers to continue making sales.

Either way I am once again stuck with a device that does not work as advertised and MTN once again have the satisfaction of making a fool of me.

I was going to switch to Telkom (not for their service or coverage) simply because they sell a phone that when it says Dual SIM on the box......it actually is Dual SIM.

I was put off by the long ques and decided to give MTN another go........guess I know why there was no que outside the MTN store.

You have caught me twice now and you will not catch me again.

I am not naive enough to believe that you will even entertain unblocking my phone, your business in Africa and the fines you have had to pay make it clear that being dishonest and ******* is you modus operandi.

Please know however you have caught me for the last time, as soon as I am able I will end my contract and never again renew with your company.

I can't wait to be done with you and have an opportunity to be exploited by some other ***** service provider......preferably one that at the very least will sell me a device that operates as advertised.
