MTN fee doubled
I have been with MTN for 18+ years. The last contract I extended was for 2 ********** period, which ended on Feb 2019. My last contract was My MTNchoice+ S, which included 2G data, 200mins airtime, and 200 sms, for R230 per month for out of contract rate at the moment. Now that I need to extend my contract for another 2 years, a similar contract which is called MTN Made for Me L, will cost shocking R419PM x 24months!!! 2G date, 200mins airtime and only 100sms. I can not believe why the cost is doubled? No assistants at the store can tell me. This is not fair for consumers! Can somebody help me on this? Can we as consumers do anything? Or we are just there to be ****** as wish?

MTN has not increased contract subscription prices for over a decade despite increasing operation costs, distribution costs, transport costs, handset price increases, infrastructure costs, failing exchange rates and increase in taxes. The reduction in mobile termination rates, coupled with the increased costs of network investment, has necessitated a review of pricing.
