MTN *****

Around September 2024 my elderly Mom's contract with MTN came to an end. Because of her age I didn't want to sign her up to a two or 3 year contract again. So, armed with a power of attorney, I went to a walk in store at Cape Gate to just request a month by month data deal. Unbeknown to me the salesman changed it to a 2 year data contract.

Because she cannot use her phone anymore I went into the store to request them to stop the month by month deal, only to be told that it is a 2 year contract!

When I challenged this and wrote to their ***** department I have been told that a 3rd party can't cancel it. Even though they were quite happy to use this 3rd party to take out the "contract".
