MTN false advertising
So, I had to renew my contract, 1.went online and saw there was a Redmi phone + redmi pad available etc, but i prefer to do business in person. 2. So I visited MTN branch here Bloemfontein, showed the gentleman (Michael) what i wanted, (had printed a copy of the online catalogue) he immediately said the pads (tablets) werent available but would come back to me 3. He phoned me same afternoon, saying that the special i wanted (phone + pad) was only available online - not in store 4. Went online, ordered phone, system took me the checkout etc etc, and finalised my purchase. ORDER No. ***. Delivery was 2 weeks delayed, due to school halidays etc, upon returning, took delivery and lo and behold NO PAD 6. I immediately sent customer care a email, asking when the tablet is to be delivered.
And here things went south, i was asked if i have proof of this "special" - upon which i sent them a copy of the specific page where the phone + tablet was advertised etc.........after numerous email, getting my email transfetred from 1 dept to the next, I am still no closer to an answer.
This is unacceptable, and surely false advertising cannot be condoned for a Co. like MTN.
