MTN False Advertising

My phone is due for a upgrade. I went to MTN the store to upgrade to a special being advertised. I was then told that I can't upgrade to that contract as I am on the old system and that this special is only for clients on the new system. If I want that special I must wait until I am migrated to the new system but they can't tell me when this will happen and I need to come back and check.
