MTN fair use policy

I bought a MTN Rush Hour uncapped data day bundle - this was done via online services (141). At the time of purchase I I thought it was a good deal however 150MB into my internet experience I discovered that I was mistaken. My internet speed dropped so damatically (down to 128kb - speeds I last experienced on my dialup modem) that I wasn't even able to access the MTN website in order to find their fair use policy.

My complaint is this:

1. Do not mark your product as uncapped when in actual fact, given I only have 24 hours in a day, I will only able to use max 500MB

2. In this day and age how does 150MB constitute as high usage? My wife who recently upgraded and received her free 30GB was not limited in this way, how is it that someone who has paid for a service gets limited to this pultry number? If you are targetting someone who will be using facebook or twitter then state that in your advertising.

3. How can you penalise someone, ater using such a small amount of data, by dropping them down to 128kb, a speed that is completely unuseable?

I am very disappointed with MTN. I have been a subscriber since my first cell in 1999. After this incident, and in conjunction with incompetence I have received in your branches, I will be moving to a competitor.

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns with MTN.
kindly be advised that with 24 hour bundle they have been designed with a cap at 150 MB where you still connect but the Internet speed reduces, however we acknowledge your concern as our valued customer will engage with our marketing department to relook at it.
warm regards
mike
