MTN *****

Dear Hello Peter, I am having serious concerns regarding my MTN contracts which I have had for almost two decades which is via a Corporate Business Account. I have called MTN Customer Services more than 15 times since June 2023 to date and each time a reference number is allocated an investigation is open wiithin 48hrs the call reference is closed vis sms saying it is now completed but no one assisted in resolving the actual query. I am at a point of actually calling this ***** because I am continuously being billed new amounts each month which keep escalating. Debit orders amounting to over R2800 when I should be paying less than R2000 per month for two contracts. I even indicated to MTN I will cancel my Debit Order until such time all queries are resolved but to date new charges keep appearing on my Invoices. If you dial 135 you keep getting through to a new Service Champion who requests you repeat everything all over again then logs a new enquiry. So how is MTN actually helping their customers/clients?? Since the 12/06/23 following an upgrade that was done on my second cell phone via an on line platform not a third party but with MTN direct I have been incurring charges of an upgrade fee of R150, then I was charged for my old contract and new contract over the exact same period. On my current invoice 12/09/23 I am now being charged with cell phone insurances. I have not agreed to any upgrade fee, signed no documents & frankly the contract was discussed telephonically. I did not go into any MTN Store nor did I agree to any insurances because I have personal insurances that cover my mobile phones. I don't understand the double billing, I am so confused by all these charges being billed to me, I even went to the extent of writing emails to no avail! I need the billing department to contact me verbally and in writing and resolve my queries as I cannot afford being charged monies that are out of my budget this could lead me to having insufficient funds in my Bank Account which will be a poor reflection of myself to the Bank, not forgetting this could affect my Credit Score & Credit Ratings. Right now I don't know what to do or how to liaise with MTN. A senior representative needs to action my queries, resolve the incorrect charges, refund me immediately with monies owing to me & if at all possible assist me in cancelling my contracts with a fair and mutual agreement as I cannot afford these contracts that have unpredictable escalated amounts that is absolutely absurd.

Yours faithfully, S Naidoo KZN Richards Bay
