In September 2019 I made the grave error of upgrading my Data lines using Summer SunTrading who are apparently affiliated with MTN. You are meant to get an email confirmation of the upgrade etc, which I am still waiting for. Somebody *****ed up and my bill went sky high. I contacted MTN, and they contacted Summer trading to get a copy of my contract. I asked to also get a copy but as usual nothing has arrived. After logging various calls it was apparently resolved so the calls were closed. As I did not receive any feedback or paperwork but I had to accept the call was resolved from the service consultant as how could I find out what was resolved. This was December 2019. I am still having problems with MTN. Data line issues: my provisioning for my 2 data line has swapped. All of a sudden. My provisioning on 12th January was back to front. I was in store in Swellendam early January and the balances on the 2 lines seemed correct, as we had used a lot of data in December on the line which gets the higher provisioning and we did not run out.
I ran out of data on 20th January and started logging calls. The first operator did not bother to give me a reference and I don’t think he logged it. So 21st January I insisted on getting a ref: *** Then followed *** Then they needed the voice transcripts from the summer people. I don’t know what voice transcript they are going to get anyway as I spoke to a male operator initially and his senior female later. Both gave me different stories so I should have smelled a rat there and then So we had the following call references: *********. On 18th of February I have given up and closed the last call. I have given you people a 4 weeks to sort it out. I am now couriering my sim to Joburg and the other to the cape so I can get my correct provisioning. I still do not know what contract I am on. The bill makes no sense and every store or helpline person gives me another story.
