Mtn - Everywhere you go = ****

On or about August 2016, Mtn advertised a special for data at R99.00 a month for 6GB. I was very excited when I attended at the Newton Junction store and was advised that the promo was still running. I signed up immidiately (which I was later to regret). I was happy with my new sim card for only a few days as the so-called-6GB data ran out within a week. Fine, maybe I had somehow manged to use it all up. Anyway the crux of the matter is that at the end of the month, Mtn deducted an amount of R1600.00 from my bank account. You can imagine my suprise, I mean; how do we get to R1600.00 from R99.00. At first I thought it was just a rectifiable mistake so I phoned the mtn call centre. I was informed that my contract was an open one and that I had consumed the 6GB data and was paying for the rest at an 'out of bundle charge' (whatever that means). I was so confused because after the data finished I had bought my own data and recharged the sim. If it was an open contract, the data should never have run out.

Furthermore, the call centre agent told me that I was being charged for skype and whatsapp calling. (Haahhhaa, funny cause I used the sim card on a router for research, it was never connected to my phone). Anywhere, dispite attending at the Mtn New Junction store for help severals times, Mtn kept debiting crazy amounts, which I kept reversing. At one point, Mtn debited an amount of R2000 something... I even went to the Eastgate store for a second opinion. I was informed that the consultant that assisted me made a mistake by not putting the limit on the sim card to zero.

Whilst all of this is happening, I am not using the sim card, Mtn has not once phoned me to follow up on my query and they have stopped debiting money from my account. I attend at the New Junction store to find out if the query has been sorted and the consultant informs me that he cant pick up my account with them and that it means my matter had been solved. Great, i go home and buy myself Jameson in celebration...Hooray!!!

Last week, I was trying to trade in my car and apply for finance. Guess what? Mnt blacklisted me on ITC for non payment. Not only am I confused but also shocked. Where do they get the guts to blacklist me for not letting them ***** from me. I am very unhappy with their services. This is now affecting my life negativey. Anyone please advise what I must do before I lose my mind
