MTN (Empty N) - Rip-off
I would like to complain about MTN not honouring the contract I've signed. It is a 24 month contract that commenced on 12 September 2019. The name of the promotion I've signed for is "My MTNChoice 5GB", Sim-Only 40GB package: 20GB day + 20GB for R199 per month.
At present I only get 5GB + 5GB. The employees at the walk-in centre admitted that their system make errors on this package as the name is "My MTNChoice 5GB" and tried to assist me 15 October 2019 by referring the matter to their head office and told me it will take 48 hours to resolve. I went in again and I was given the same story.
I have heard many bad things about MTN and signed up because I do not go after hearsay. But I can CONFIRM that MTN is a rip-off. Do not make the same mistake I made and choose a different service provider.

Kindly note that according to our records you the contract is a R149.00 not R199.00 promotion.
This means the package was captured incorrectly at point of sale.
Regrettably we are unable to migrate this package to the R199.00 deal, to remedy this we are willing to amend the contract term date to allow the upgrade. This means we can amend the termination date and get someone from our sales department to recapture the upgrade.
Upon your acceptance we will then request our sales team to contact you and capture the correct deal.
