MTN EAST RAND MALL - Phone was sent in for repairs and after 2 months I found out my phone was never sent to the repairs center but have just been sitting in the shop.
I sent my broken phone in for repairs on the 15 December 2017 at the MTN in the East Rand Mall (The MTN accross Clicks/Ackermans). When I started following up in Jan 2018 they kept saying the phone is still with the repairs center & I asked them to follow up and every time they said they checked it is still with the repairs center and they don't know when they are going to courier the phone back. When I phoned again around the 14 Feb they told me that the manager is no longer there and they have a new manager and my phone has actually been in the shop since December 2017 and was NEVER sent away and they are only sending it now so now I will have to wait another 3 - 5 weeks to get my phone back.

27 Feb 2018, 16:22On the 23 Feb I find out that it is going to cost me R4000 to get the phone fixed after I asked them numerous times if the repairs center is going to fix the phone under the warranty!!! If they could have told me this in December or in the beginning of January I could have still been able to make a plan but now OVER 2 months later after being relieved and relaxed that my phone is getting fixed NOW i find out that this is not going to happen as I most definitely do not have R4000 NOW!!! pathetic service from MTN will think twice before I ever use MTN again and would definitely not recommend MTN as I now will have to sit without a phone because of this poor service!

On the 23 Feb I find out that it is going to cost me R4000 to get the phone fixed after I asked them numerous times if the repairs center is going to fix the phone under the warranty!!! If they could have told me this in December or in the beginning of January I could have still been able to make a plan but now OVER 2 months later after being relieved and relaxed that my phone is getting fixed NOW i find out that this is not going to happen as I most definitely do not have R4000 NOW!!! pathetic service from MTN will think twice before I ever use MTN again and would definitely not recommend MTN as I now will have to sit without a phone because of this poor service!

27 Feb 2018, 16:25the also said they would sent me the quote in order for me to decline the R4000 payment for fixing the phone - NOTHING RECEIVED since the 23 Feb!!!! then I asked if I can claim from the insurance and if they can please email me the with the documents I need to fill out STILL NOTHING RECEIVED since the 23 FEB!!!!!!!!
