MTN - Dont Port
Wonderful people to deal with at the V&A store, abysmal system failures. Costed me 5 visits to drive out there, some times just to hear the system is down or has malfunctioned.
Firstly Vodacom did not release my number for porting and it failed. I made peace with it and decided that getting a new number would not be the end of the world. So I ended up purchasing 15 sim cards and chose the best number. Found a great one! Then RICA'd the new number and voila! It should have worked in a few mins... but no no, the port then decided its going to go through afterall... after days of waiting for Vodacom.... that was fine with me even though I found this great new number. Only problem is, the port eventually "went through" 2.5 days ago and was supposed to be active within 2-24 hours and it still is not active.
Now, im not sure what I'm most upset about. Is it driving out there numerious times wasting my time and energy? Is it MTN claiming the port failed and again my time and money wasted on alternatives? Is it the time it is taking for me to gain access to the benefits and services, as stipulated in the contract, and me having to rely on a prepaid service at additional cost untill the port is activate? It may also be that this whole drama has wasted my time and made it diffucult to conduct business.
Dear MTN,
