MTN doesn’t want to cancel my contract
I subscribed to a Month-to-Month Home Internet service with the intention of utilizing it for both work and study purposes. Unfortunately, I have encountered persistent connectivity issues. The Wi-Fi functions for about a week before displaying a message indicating that the data allocation has been exhausted. This situation is perplexing, as I was informed that while the speed would be reduced after the data limit is reached, I would still have access to the internet.
I have made multiple attempts to cancel the service; however, I have faced significant challenges in doing so, often being transferred between departments without resolution. I initially spoke with Anele from the retention department, who stated that she was unable to assist with the cancellation and referred me to another department for help. Following that, I had a conversation with Nosiphiwe, who redirected me back to the retention department, indicating that Anele, as a senior manager, is the appropriate contact for canceling month-to-month contracts. Nosiphiwe mentioned that Anele would reach out to me, but I have yet to receive a response.
This ongoing situation has led to considerable frustration, as I am eager to secure a new home Wi-Fi service.
