MTN doesn't care... or is ***** encouraged for a cost reduction plan?
MTN doesn't care...
An account has been opened with MTN on my ID number without my involvement or consent and I informed them more than 13 months ago. I received an SMS of MTN a debit order deduction from my account December 2021, I then informed MTN in January 2022 after extensively trying to get hold of the ***** department without success even and just being told I need to phone 135 which doesn't work from a non MTN number, so then I hunted for head office number and they informed me they can't help and that I need to go to a store, numerous stores then advised they can't help either and finally one gave me an email address to send the information to. I emailed the address and after a few email i was informed that that email no longer exists and to then restart the process to another email which I did without avail even including numerous staff involved and management email addresses I found. I've also received numerous references which also doesn't mean anything to MTN either. - *** - escalation reference: *** - Reference number: 17946ec0-f9ab-4a2d-8e74-9fb62899cfcf - ticket number *** - Reference number: 829a37af-769a-42c8-8683-d58d2fc7b4de - Reference number: 7d5c8040-8c19-4143-b6bd-***a13
I've sent all required documentation, a letter and an affidavit as required and still no feedback from MTN, merely constant phone calls from debt collections agencies.
I don't understand how an account is opened even without debit order consent and identification that the person opening the account is in fact identified as per the ID, fingerprints and image assigned to that ID as per Home Affairs or legal document, like Telkom does. Unless this is an avenue of MTN to be able to claim these unpaid *****ulently opened accounts and what even else is pending as write-offs for company expenses increases?
