MTN doesn't care about their customers or how they impact their lives.
I have never used any platform to complain about any service provider. But today, I feel I have to so that no one else gets stuck in this same situation. I have a problem with MTN. I have been paying my account every month like I am supposed to. My account is up to date and not in arrears at all. So it was a shock to find out when I app**** for finance that the credit bureau states that according to MTN, I have missed payments for the last 6 months. So I explained to the bank that it must be a mistake, so the bank said they can help me with finace if I can provide them with a letter from MTN that states the acount is active and paid up to date. Now, MTN is refusing to give me this said letter even though my account is up to date, and I have been paying them every month. I have been on the phone with MTN for the whole week, I have been speaking to consultants in every deparment of MTN, from customer care, collections, billing through to legal, and no one wants to help me with a simple letter that states my account is paid up to date. One consultant directed me to go to my nearest branch for the letter, so I did so and the branch manager simply stated they can't give me the letter I have to get it from customer care over the phone as they are just a franchise and not a service provider. No supervisor, manager, or team leader wants to take my call. They simply say they will call me back and then never call. No one can even give me a reason why they can't give me this letter. I am truly upset about this as I can't get finance due to this and MTN simply don't want to assist me. I would strongly recommend anyone against using MTN as a service provider.
