MTN doesn't cancel contracts on request - Be aware

MTN doesn't even deserve 1 star, but as you cannot supply a review without a star rating, you have no choice. You cannot complain about the service, as there are NO SERVICE. I have a contract with 4 numbers/devices which Expired 17/05/2020. On 9/9/2020 I requested that 3 of the numbers be cancelled - Not changed, not amended, not retained on a month to month contract - CANCELLED. Since then I received 4 different Reference numbers and 4 empty promises that it will be cancelled. Needless to say (1) It was not cancelled to date - 6 months later (2) They keep on debiting my account with the amount for the full contract - all four devices (3) When the Bank returned my debit order as Payment stopped (as I reached the end of my with and they don't cancel the numbers) they stopped me from phoning threatening that if I don't pay the amount I will not have the facility any longer. Contacted them again this morning. Everyone is passing the buck. No one want to take responsibility or fix the situation. Even the staff at the MTN store just pull up their shoulders and say you have to cancel the contracts telephonically. Well it's 6 months later and MTN still did not deliver the service to me they promised.
