MTN does not want to repair claiming water damage

I took my phone for repairs to MTN because my battery was not charging correctly and getting really hot. After 4 weeks I received feedback that it is not repairable and that I need to pay MTN because they cannot fix it.<br> I then went to the repair center and they told me it is water damage. <br> The liquid damage markers are not activated so therefore its clearly not been damaged. I was told that it could be from my battery overheating which is a device issue.<br> I then logged a complaint with [Email Removed] where I received a reference number (***).
