MTN does not take a NO as an Answer

I recently inquired (after SMS offer that I am approved for a contract with MTN)-Samsung device for R 199 p. month.- I went through qualification and verification with a lady agent eventually to be approved and as I got to the pop-up of my bank for debit amount, it was much higher than the contract amount, that states R199 as being debited from my ABSA bank. I immediately told the lady agent I will not enter the contract since the amount that ABSA would deduct monthly was double the amount according to the contract offered, and I no longer trusted the process. After this conversation I received SMS that my order is processed and item will be delivered and so on. I eventually had to write many emails to MTN customer care to explain and insist on written confirmation that the contract was cancelled (it was actually not even properly entered.) In the meanwhile, I got daily updates that my order is in progress. After I got confirmation with ref. NR. *** on 12.5. 2025, and assumed all was sorted, today received 2 phone calls that the courier appointed by MTN wants to drop off my device. WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MTN????? CAN'T THEY TAKE A NO FOR A NO? Surely they should have a central database updated in order for their agents and employees to know that a contract does not exist anymore and leave people alone and not terrorise with follow-ups that are actually harassment. I would love to hear from MTN with a big fat apology and new confirmation that the contract was indeed cancelled. (Irma Engelbrecht)
