MTN does not repair iphones

I took my iPhone 6 to MTN Eastgate to repair a loose charge dock on 06/02/2016. Was told that I would be contacted with a quote before repairs are done and that declining the quote would result in a R330 charge. On 17/02/2016 I received an SMS with a quote of R6230. Phoned the MTN HVRC (High Volume Repair Centre) and was told that the quote was based on the phone not working at all. Informed them that phone was working and that the charge dock was loose so they needed to wiggle the cable to charge the phone. A quote dispute was logged. Today (26/02/2016), I phoned HVRC and was told that after the review, the quote was the same because MTN *does not* repair Apple phones and they would do a replacement instead. I was not informed of this when I booked the phone in. If I was, I would have taken my phone to one of the iPhone repair businesses instead because they charge only R599 to replace the charge dock. I will definitely be porting away from MTN because I've been an iPhone user for the last 8 years!!<br>
