MTN does not care

My husband recently died and I went to an MTN shop to make arrangements to change my cellphone number to prepaid as it was linked to his contract. We were told that it would be changed in a few days. Instead the number was disconnected which leaves me in a very bad situation. I have effectively been cut off from the outside world and can't even get SMSes which means my banking is also affected. It is extremely disappointing that it is even possible for this to happen. There is no point trying to call 135 as you are told that the system is very busy at the start. Must I now sit and wait on the phone for an indefinite period to get hold of someone to fix what I was assured would happen and see if they can be bothered to fix it? That does not seem like a good solution. My husband was a customer of MTN for probably 25 years, but clearly that kind of loyalty means absolutely nothing in the pursuit of money. Shame on you MTN. There is absolutely no consideration for the fact that your stupidity puts me in a bad situation and nobody gives a damn about the fact that I am now confined to my house and don't have the ability to make a phone call should I have an emergency. That is shameful and greedy behaviour and the saddest thing is that I am sure I am not the only person who is affected in this way. To you people are numbers and there is no care for their well-being other than to try and get more money out of them. It is disgusting!
