MTN disappointment

I am utterly disappointed at MTN and their level of customer service.I had an mtn contract with MTN for years,as my contract was about to end I renewed one for a SIM card which was fine, a year later I am told I need to pay for an iPhone which is under my name.I went to MTN Southgate to enquire about this as I don’t own any iPhone,as I am using an Honor phone which I took a few years back with them.MTN Southgate advised me there is an iPhone taken under my name at MTN Somerset which is in Cape Town,they asked me if I had been there which I didn’t even know the place,I was advised to go make an affidavit and bring it to the store and they will send it to the ***** department,months later I enquired about my case which has been pending and each month I am being billed about a phone I don’t even know.When I went to different MTN stores I was told to open a case at the police station,which was even a nightmare to even do as I was pregnant.After giving birth while on maternity leave I called MTN ***** line to ask about my case as already I couldn’t take anything on credit as this bad debt was showing under my name,they told me they don’t see anything on record,I went to the branch at Maponya mall and was advised to call their customer line as at the branch they can’t do much.When I called the customer line I was advised there’s nothing under my name and I owe R30 000plus.I was so hurt and heartbroken on this as each month they billed me for a phone I don’t even take nor know anything about.I then told myself I’m not going to pay anything as this was a ***** case and someone at MTN opened a contract *****ulently under my name and I am expected to pay.Fast forward to the end of 2024 when I was enquiring about cars and the dealership told me the MTN matter is showing and I need to fix it in order for me to get a car.I went to MTN yet again to ask how can they remove the iPhone that was taken under my name *****ulently,they advised the matter is already with the lawyers and I need to liaise with them.Mind you,my number was blocked as I couldn’t receive nor make any calls on my sim which I had paid off fruitfully.I asked legal to tell me about payments arrangements that I can make so to remove this,they advised me my matter is with the lawyers and I need to enquire with them.I was given 3numbers of lawyers they work with which I called and gave my ID number to so they can check,they all told me my name is not with them. I went back to MTN Southgate and advised them I haven’t been successful with getting any help.A sales guy at MtN Southgate called their legal department and they check and found my case id under FFDA and rest gave me their number and told me they can’t see how much is owed under my name as the case is with this company.I called this FFDA company multiple times and left them messages to call me back to this day no one has bothered to call me back.I am really disappointed and concerned about the level of service these two companies has given me.From bring a loyal client to having to beg to be helped.At this moment I don’t need anything from them but to fix my name as already it has ruined so many things and derailed my life.If anybody knows or is aware of this FFDA company please assist me as this channel is my last hope to get assistance.
