MTN direct ********* marketing .. Upgrade gone wrong!

An MTN direct employee called me and told me I was a long term customer due for an upgrade, I was due for a 35% discount on all instore offers plus 500MB free data monthly. This offer could only be claimed through her. A 45 minute conversation got me with a contract for a Huawei P20 valued at R12,000 according to the lady and a contract which was 35% discounted, we organised delivery etc.. 24th Oct. The phone arrived was a P20Lite, valued at R5,500 and the contract was the same price as any store, there was no 500MB of free data included either. I was very unsatisfied and returned the phone to an MTN direct store in Baywest Mall. The phone was then lost in transit and my contract as yet has not been cancelled. I have spent probably about 18 hours in the MTN shop in Jeffreys Bay trying to get this sorted out, the ladies in the store are being as helpful as possible but the response from Rewardsco and the MTN departments is atrocious, emails unanswered, no one knows how to get this completed and I have now missed out on all the Black Friday specials...!! Do not go near MTN telesales EVER!
