I am currently a contract customer with MTN and have a Samsung Note 3. I obtained my phone from MTN Direct.

The screen on the Note 3 stopped working so I took it to the Samsung Support Centre in Century City where I was told they needed to see a contract from MTN with the applicable IMEI code before fixing it. I told them I had purchased the phone from MTN Direct and the paperwork provided (which I had) did not include the IMEI code. I then called MTN Direct asking for a contract with an IMEI code, they couldn't provide it nor could MTN's normal customer services.

So as things stand now, I have had to buy a phone whilst I am waiting for someone at MTN to provide me with a contract that includes an IMEI number and now I can't speak to anybody because of the strike.

Can anyone help?
Best regards,
